DARK LIPS!!!!!
So recently I have become obsessed with the sleek, all black kinda look and I think that a dark coloured lipstick does just the job for completing this look for me! Day to day I tend to go easy on the eye make up using only top eyeliner and mascara so when I wear a dark lip I feel like it gives my face that extra OOMPH making it look less boring and more chic.
However, I've found that when I do wear a dark lip I tend to look paler, to make up for this I always opt for a darker shade of foundation or even just a darker powder on top of your foundation will do the same trick! This is just my personal preference some people like the paler, more gothic look but for me I prefer a bit of colour when I wear my dark lipsticks.
I have 3 favourites that I switch up with:
1. NYX soft matter lip cream in the colour COPENHAGEN
2. MAC matte in the colour SIN
3. MAC matte in the colour FULL CHOCOLATE
The great thing about a dark coloured lipstick is that you can shape your lips & make them seem bigger than they really are by going over your natural lip line but because of the colour it doesn't look obviously overdrawn! I use the NYX 812 PLUM lipliner to outline my lips & create a fuller shape & then I just go over this with my preferred colour.
